Not only do these photos work well on their own, but they make great studies for my bird paintings.

I really, really love this one. Can you tell me how you did the mirror image. I checked paint.net and didn't see anything there that could do that.

Hi Diana,
I just added one of my favorite grungy papers as an overlay. The photo itself might be what's giving it the mirrored quality. It's actually just another little bird in the background.
